The museum’s famous ‘NAAFI’ restaurant is situated close to the Control Tower and is linked by corridor to the Elvington Room

Pioneers Of Aviation
New fr 2010, this exhibition celebrates the rich history of aviation in Yorkshire
Memorial Garden
The peaceful Memorial Garden is protected by a high hedge to provide a sheltered haven for visitors.
The Chapel
The wooden cross on the exterior east wall was made of oak by craftsmen at York Minster and kindly donated by the Dean and Chapter.
No 609 Squadron Display Room
The 609 Squadron Room is decorated with fine drawings and contemporary photographs and was opened in 1994 by Wing Commander R P (Roly) Beamont
The Airborne Forces Display, opened by Lt. Gen. Sir Michael Gray in June 2000, includes a detailed relief model of the area near Caen, including the Pegasus Bridge and the Merville Battery
The Handley Page Workshop
The Handley Page Aircraft Workshop is mainly used by the museum’s volunteers for aircraft and vehicle maintenance and restoration.
