A young visitor in the Museum's Archive

There is a comprehensive record of all the airfields used by the RAF in Britain compiled by
Guy Jefferson and a record of all aircraft
crash sites in Yorkshire.

Further information is available at: www.airfieldhistoriesuk.fsnet.co.uk

Items on display include uniforms, log books, photographs and many other interesting artefacts from WWI and WWII.

Available by appointment to researchers is a comprehensive aviation library and an extensive collection of historical documents and photographs relating to RAF, RAAF and RCAF Squadrons which served in Yorkshire. Archive staff will respond to an initial research enquiry free of charge.

To help defray the costs of collecting and maintaining the archive, a donation (minimum £20) is requested for detailed research carried out in the Collections Department. This donation can be paid in the Tickets and Donations section of the online shop and the Archive Research Form can be downloaded here. Please return the form to the address provided above.
